Companies that have opted for hybrid production models, that are dealing with bottlenecks in production lines or are facing significant changes in both customer base and turnover due to economic uncertainty, need reliability. All these challenges are reflected in businesses operating in the dynamic American market.
With its philosophy of transparency and sustainability, Kyocera has managed to not only overcome these difficulties, but also to convince thousands of companies in Colombia with its technology. Datecsa, the country’s exclusive supplier for the last 20 years, has managed to place Kyocera printing equipment at the top of the market – as reflected in the IDC Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker report for the last months of 2021.
The conclusions of the report are clear: KYOCERA Document Solutions America dominated the first position in the Colombian printer sector for three consecutive months, with 38.2% of the market share.
In perspective, the results are almost 20 percentage points higher than the third competitor in the region, and almost 10 points higher than the second. The trust of Colombian companies in the efficiency and guarantees of Kyocera and Datecsa is evident.
Kyocera is taking the lead in the corporate print services sector, specifically Color Laser and Mono Laser: Color Laser 21-30 ppm, Color Laser 31-44 ppm, Color Laser 45-69 ppm, Mono Laser 31-44 ppm, Mono Laser 45-69 ppm. It is worth pointing out the 31% increase for mono lasers from the previous quarter and a 21% increase for color lasers. These figures reflect an upward trend for Kyocera in the region.
The partnership has managed to reach over 70,000 teams in the country.”
The trust that companies have in Datecsa has presented itself in more than 70,000 devices installed in the Colombian market for the corporate segment, representing a historical year-over-year (YoY) growth of 149.2% for Kyocera in the region. Even when excluding the performance of the market, this still reflects a year-over-year increase of 128.6%. In any case, this is a three-figure advance ahead of the rest of the competition.
The work of Datecsa, a company specialized in integral technological solutions designed to optimize the efficiency of business processes, has been vital to achieve such a feat. Datecsa has been the exclusive distributor in Colombia of Kyocera MFPs, printers and original supplies since 2001.
Since then, the collaboration has allowed Kyocera to exceed the installation of 70,000 printing devices in the country, with a portfolio of more than 3,500 customers whose Kyocera devices generate more than 250 million printed pages per month. This is the result of the quality of the devices and also of a precise technical service with more than 250 Kyocera-certified engineers.
To maintain and expand the confidence of companies in a context of uncertainty and transformation like we’re experiencing currently, it is necessary to offer top-quality services. For this reason, Datecsa itself committed to its customers and aligned with Kyocera’s professional standards, making a great effort to improve its processes and make all its operations more efficient.
Kyocera Fleet Services, the advanced monitoring tool for managing print fleets with the accuracy and agility that the market demands, helped Datecsa in this mission. KFS provided Datecsa with flexible integration and resources that helped it save hundreds of technical assistances in measurements and thousands of dollars in maintenance costs.
The vendor’s nearly 15,000 devices that already have KFS installed are in addition to the 500,000 that also share it across the U.S. region. Kyocera Fleet Services supports both BW and Color devices with the same goal: to streamline work, reduce downtime and provide automatic, on-demand firmware updates via cloud connectivity.
Thanks to KFS and its presence in the market with Kyocera equipment, in recent years, Datecsa has managed to develop a clear penetration in the main printing market segments, such as finance, education, legal, manufacturing, retail, health, production, government and graphic arts. Now it is the leader in all of them.
